Mayna (Hangul: 메이나; also known as Mena) is a Romanian-born Chinese dancer and rapper. She is a former member of the girl group HOT ISSUE.
Life and Career[]
Mayna was born as Shao Xi Meng Na (邵西蒙那) on May 12, 2000 in Romania. A few years of her childhood were spent growing up in Spain.[1]
2018: Produce 101 China[]
In 2018, using the stage name Mena, she became a contestant on the survival show Produce 101 China as a trainee representing Yue Hua Entertainment. She was eliminated in episode 7 after ranking 52nd place.[1]
2021-2022: HOT ISSUE[]
On March 22, 2021, now using the stage name Mayna, she was revealed as the second member of the upcoming girl group HOT ISSUE.[2] The group debuted on April 28 with their first mini album Issue Maker.
On April 22, 2022, just four days before their one-year anniversary, HOT ISSUE announced their official disbandment.[3]
